Chairman: Anthony May
Anthony May has been a darts administrator for over 15 years and has been the President of an amateur darts body (MPRA) for over 5 years. With the forming of SAPDO Anthony decided in 2012 to stand down as President of MPRA and decided to head the board of directors of SAPDO. It was a huge step for Anthony to make this move as his father was one of the pillars in the amateur version of the sport. Anthony is a very passionate darts administrator and says "This organisation is going places with the board of directors currently in place". Anthony's administrative experience brings years of value in leading a team of dedicated and passionate directors. Anthony is a cool and calm individual that leads by example and has earned the respect of his board, members and dart lovers across South Africa.
Director: Charles Losper
Charles started playing darts in 1991 and very quickly discovered that this is the sport for him. In 1999 he received for the first time his provincial colours while playing at LAUDD. He represented Western Province in the regional competitions since 2001 to 2004 and again from 2006 to 2011. He represented his country at amateur level in 2003 in the world cup in Epinal, France. He is one of the best players in the history of South African darts and has won numerous titles including being the first player to win the PDC South African Masters for 2 consecutive years since the PDC came to South Africa in 2007. Charles is one of the founder members that started SAPDO with Andrew Festers. Charles' years of experience playing at a top level in the sport and administrative skills adds a wealth of knowledge and skill to SAPDO.
Director: Lennie Thomas
Lennie has over the years been involved in different types of sporting codes in South Africa which includes darts. Not only is he a keen player but he is an excellent administrator in the sport as well, especially when it comes to running tournaments and providing the statistical data. He joined SAPDO in 2008 after being approached by the late Mr. Andrew Festers who was one of the founder members of The SA Pro Darts Organisation. Lennie Thomas brings years of darts experience and administrative skills in the sport which add immense value to this organisation.
Director: Waleed Clayton
Waleed has been a top player in South Africa for over 20 years and winner of the South African singles in 2000. He represented Western Province at regional competitions. Waleed is a founder member of SAPDO with Andrew Festers. He is a calm and collected individual and adds immense value to the strategic direction of the organisation. His years of experience adds enormous value in all areas of the organisation's growth and development.
Director: Nolan Arendse
Nolan has been a top dart player in South Africa for the past 15 years and has been playing darts since 1990. He joined the SAPDO team after being approached by Andrew Festers and his newly formed team to assist in moving the organisation forward. Nolan Arendse has a variety of qualifications which includes Engineering, I/T, Telecommunications and a Masters Degree in Bussiness Management. He brings a lot of business experience to this organisation.
Director: Hermanus Albertus Deysel
Hermanus started playing league darts in 2000. He has since grown as a top player and leader in the Gauteng area. Hermanus won numerous titles and captained many teams since taking up the sport. He is dedicated to the growth of professional darts and to giving South African players access to better opportunities.
His leadership qualities and passion for the game have led to Hermanus being the latest appointment to the board. Hermanus is committed to working with his fellow board members in making professional darts a national brand.
